How to use bow symbols
There is no bow character in Unicode. Every bow on this page is something else pressed into service: ୨୧ is a pair of Oriya digits, six and seven, mirrored so the curves meet; 𓍯 is an Egyptian hieroglyph; ᰔᩚ is a Lepcha letter with a Tai Tham mark stacked on it. They look like ribbons because of their shape, not their meaning, and that is why searching for a bow symbol rarely finds them.
The practical consequence is font support. Borrowed characters from small scripts are missing on many older phones, so someone else may see an empty box where you see a bow. This page hides anything your own device cannot draw — what you see here will paste correctly for you, but ୨୧ is the safest of the set and 𓍯 the least supported.
For a fuller ribbon look, the marks are usually combined rather than used alone: ୨୧ around a name, or ⋆˚꩜｡ as a tail after it. Hearts ♡ ❥ and flowers ❀ ✿ belong to the same aesthetic and are far better supported, so a bio built mostly from those with one bow as the accent survives on more devices.

Is there a real bow symbol in Unicode?
No. There is a ribbon emoji 🎀, which is a coloured picture, but no text character that means bow. Everything used as one is borrowed for its shape — ୨୧ from Oriya digits, 𓍯 from Egyptian hieroglyphs, ᥫ᭡ from Lepcha. That is also why they keep the colour of your text instead of turning pink.
Why does ୨୧ show as boxes for my friend?
Their device has no font covering Oriya. Borrowed characters from smaller scripts are the first thing missing on older phones, and there is nothing you can do from your side. If it has to be readable for everyone, ♡ ❀ ✧ are supported almost universally.
What is the difference between bow and coquette symbols?
They overlap almost completely — coquette is the wider aesthetic and the bow is its most recognisable piece. This page leads with ribbon shapes; the coquette page leads with soft marks, lace and hearts. Most bios end up using a few of each.
Do these work in a username, not just a bio?
In bios and display names, yes. Account handles are stricter: TikTok and Instagram allow only letters, numbers, dots and underscores in the @name itself, so a bow can go in your display name and bio but never in the handle.
