How to use PUBG names
A PUBG name is usually built from parts: a mark that looks like a kanji — 亗, 么, 乂 — often a short clan tag in front, split off with a mark like 乛 or 丶, the name itself, sometimes in small caps, and now and then a frame like ꧁ ꧂. Here are those pieces and ready names made of words from the game: Conqueror, the top rank; Airdrop, Ghillie and Blue Zone; WWCD for “winner winner chicken dinner”. BGMI is the version Krafton released for India in 2021, and its rename box works the same way. For Free Fire names see skull symbols; for Mobile Legends — MLBB names.
The rename box takes 14 characters — that is the number players quote from the game’s own message, in PUBG Mobile and in BGMI. Some players report that a symbol uses up two or three of them; others say every character counts once. So every ready-made name here is 14 bytes or less — a plain letter is one byte, 亗 or a small-caps ᴋ is three — and fits whichever way the game counts. There are no emoji and no “mathematical” letters like 𝓐 — they cost four bytes each — and no glitch marks like ×͜×, which players say often fail. A typed space does not show in the box, so put ・ or the invisible ㅤ between words. If a name is still refused, drop one symbol and try again.
You need a Rename Card. Guides from 2020 to 2025 put it at 180 UC in the Treasures tab of the shop, new players get one free around level 10, and a card can be used once a day. PUBG on PC is different: a nickname there takes 4 to 16 characters: Latin letters, digits, hyphens and underscores, nothing else, and a clan tag is 2 to 4 characters of the same kinds — the symbols on this page are for PUBG Mobile and BGMI. For your own tag in tiny letters like ᵍᵒᵈ or a name in small caps, the small text generator works, but most of those letters cost two or three bytes, so keep the word short. Questions
How long can a PUBG Mobile or BGMI name be?
Players quote 14 characters from the game’s own message, and BGMI guides say the same. Some players report symbols counting as two or three. Every ready-made name here is 14 bytes or less, so it fits either way; if yours is refused, drop the frame on one side — 乂Headshot instead of 乂Headshot乂.
Why won’t PUBG accept my name, or why doesn’t paste work?
The box refuses some characters and Krafton publishes no list. Players report that kanji-like marks (亗 メ 彡), small caps and ꧁ ꧂ usually pass; emoji, glitch text and “mathematical” letters often fail or turn into boxes; a typed space does not show; and the name may already be taken. Remove symbols one at a time until it goes through.
How do I change my name in PUBG Mobile or BGMI?
Open the inventory, tap the Rename Card (an ID icon), tap Use, paste the new name and confirm. New players get a free card around level 10; after that guides put it at 180 UC in the shop’s Treasures tab, and a card works once a day.
Can I make an invisible name?
Players use the Hangul filler ㅤ (U+3164), a letter that draws nothing; the last group copies four of them, and the single one works as a space between words. Krafton says nothing about it, and BGMI is reported to be stricter. If the name is refused or taken, add one letter.
